The Black Horse II is one of Kershaw’s original ranch-tough work knives. It's a sturdy work knife built of no-nonsense materials and designed to dish out and take the punishment of real work in the real world.

The Black Horse II is a larger-sized workhorse and boasts a 3 3/4-inch blade of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, which provides a good balance of toughness, edge sharpness, and corrosion resistance. The swaged clip-point blade provides an aggressive point for piercing tasks, and enough belly to take care of slicing tasks as well. The handle is a non-slip polymer with finger contours for a solid grip. Steel liners and a heavy steel back lock give the Black Horse II a very solid feeling in the hand.

The lock back design is extremely sturdy and keeps the blade securely in place when in use. To release it, the user must depress the locking mechanism on the back of the handle. The Black Horse II is drilled to accept a lanyard so your blade is always close at hand when you need it. Or you can store it in the handy nylon belt sheath with Velcro closure.
